Disconnect Hoses and Turn Off the Water
You undoubtedly have a few hoses connected to the exterior of your home if you're a gardener or have a yard that's the envy of the neighbourhood. However, if the temperature drops below freezing in the winter, these can be damaged. This weather can cause ice to form in your water line, which can lead to a build-up of pressure that can cause your pipes to burst.
To prevent this, unplug all of your hoses and turn off all outside spigots. Then turn on the valve to let any water in the line out. By doing both of these things and visiting joinuacanada.ca, you will ensure that there is no water in the line that could freeze.
